“HEALTH FROM WATER”

“Kaplıca”, Turkish word for “covered hot spring” is a beautiful Turkish word derived from “hot spring”. It defines the structures built on the surroundings of natural hot waters, i.e. hot springs. The exact English word for this term is SPA. However, the word “thermal”, which is in Latin and used in almost all languages of the world, has the same meaning. This word comes from splendig "thermae"s built by Rome, a world Empire, in all lands that it has ruled and expresses the use of natural hot water for health.

The Ottoman Empire, which was also a world empire, developed and continued the tradition of using natural hot water and spread it to its sovereign areas just like the Romans. Roman baths and Turkish baths also represent typical examples of this use. Roman's thermaes and Ottoman’s thermal springs are still alive today in Asia, Africa and Europe. Today, use of hot healing waters, which are represented by medical terms of “thermalism” or “covered hot spring”, is being evaluated again with the medical approach based on modern proofs and it is also seen that scientific evidences on experimental benefits of traditional use of hot springs are increasing fast.

Thermal visits are now considered as a vacation or phenomenon thanks to its properties, such as allowing to change the environment, to ensure that physical, spiritual and social stress of daily life is left away and to provide an opportunity for having some rest. Traditional thermal spas and hotels have been developed a lot in recent years and another interpretation of the tradition, SPA concept and phenomenon have emerged, and as a result of this development, thermal vacation concept has been developed rapidly thanks to its practices for beauty, aesthetics and care. Now the classical thermal, which is linked to thermal springs, has been replaced by the SPA concept, named "Salus Per Aquas".

Again, it is health with water. However, in addition to natural mineral or thermal water, complementary applications such as massage, exercise, diet, health education that accompany the use of spa and exotic medical applications have been added. Oruçoğlu Thermal is a place in Afyonkarahisar, the thermal water of which is considered very important by the whole world, here you will re-discover yourself among extraordinary beauties with thermal, bath and SPA concepts and 100% thermal water.
