Afyonkarahisar Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Great Offensive Victory

Afyonkarahisar is commemorating the 100th year of the Great Offensive Victory, the sole assault battle during the Turkish War of Independence that illuminated the path to the Republic.

To honor the centennial of the Great Offensive Victory—a decisive campaign launched from these lands that carried the War of Independence to triumph—and to ensure that the jubilation of victory is felt by all, a total of 100 events have been planned throughout the year. These events are organized under the coordination of our Governor's Office, with key partners including the Logistics and Garrison Command, Afyonkarahisar Municipality, Afyon Kocatepe University, Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University, as well as all other public institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. The activities are designed under the motto “100 events in the 100th year.”
